Yoga Retreat
with Jeanne Heileman
Come join Jeanne Heileman on a magical journey that will not only bask in the beautiful surroundings of Southern Portugal, but explore the inner regions of your heart.
Our time together will be based on the sacred Meditation Kriya practice, Cave of the Heart, a technique that takes the practitioner into the depths of their inner heart. Deep within, you will find a flame connected to the source of Unconditional Love.
We will use dynamic asana practices to open different regions of the body, Pranayama practices to open the channels in the subtle body, and the five elements that surround us in the region. All will play a role help you climb deep within your own heart for meaningful meditations.
Each day we’ll offer trips to nature all together, with time to enjoy the breeze of the ocean and to have a bath at the long, tranquil and not so much visited beaches of South Portugal. We will have time for ourselves, enjoy exquisite, organic, vegan and vegetarian food in a retreat centre embedded in nature.
We will leave with a greater acknowledgement that Love surrounds us, all the time. It’s only a matter of seeing from the Light in our heart.

Jeanne Heileman
MA, 500-ERYT, YACEP, Founder of Tantra Flow Yoga™, Jeanne brings together 38 years of yoga practice with over 27 years of teaching skills into a style of yoga inclusive of asana, Ayurveda, meditation, with the added focus of cultivating energy.
A former ParaYoga Level II Certified Teacher for eight years, Jeanne has studied extensively in Ashtanga, Iyengar, Anusara, ParaYoga, Vini and Tantra Yoga with many masters in each tradition. She specializes in discovering the needs of an individual and gently guiding students to their own grace and balance.
Jeanne’s background as a classically trained actor brings the ability to keep students engaged and finding fun in the thickest of yoga philosophy lessons. She teaches with sensitivity, generosity of spirit and a lot of humor. Based out of Los Angeles, she tours internationally teaching trainings, workshops and retreats.

THE PLACE
We will stay in Monte Velho, a spacious and secluded retreat center in Carrapateira, in the region of Aljezur, South Portugal.
A family run, self-sustaining retreat and holistic centre with a strong passion for reconnecting its visitors with nature.
Located where south-western Europe sinks into the Atlantic, the region is enriched by the strength of its nature, with multiple paths some ending between dunes of fine sand by the ocean, while others on the cliffs by sunset.
The center sits in a stunning elevated location, nestled between mountain and sea with a panoramic vista over the ocean.
It has a fully equipped beautifully designed 170 m2 yoga shala, with underfloor heating and a spa, with sauna, turkish bath and several massage options.
All rooms have confortable beds, private bathrooms and cozy heating during winter.
The food is first class, delicious, ecological, local and seasonal, cooked by specialized chefs in vegetarian and vegan cuisine.
Two of the most amazing and long beaches of the region, Praia Amado and Praia Borderia, are are in less than 8 minutes by car from the retreat center.

How to get there?
Lisbon airport is further away, 3 hours by car from the retreat center.
Both airports have affordable flight options from the main European cities.
- May 12: Taxis will be leaving Faro airport at 14.00
- May 17: Taxis will be leaving the venue to Faro airport at 12.15
You can reserve your place in a group taxi from the airport, until two weeks before the retreat starts.
Only the group taxis scheduled at these time, are included in the price of the retreat.
If you want a transport at other time or from other origin, we can give you the telephone of the taxi company we work with.
If you are already in Portugal and you prefer to arrive by public transport, there are some buses from Faro and Lagos, to Vila do Bispo, the nearest village to the retreat center. From there, you can take a taxi (15 min) to the retreat center.
We highly recommend that you organise your trip, arrival and departure times taking into account the schedule of the group taxis and the check in and check out times.

- All yoga classes, workshops and sessions included in the program, in a beautiful indoor, well equipped yoga shala with ocean views.
- Accommodation in single, double or triple rooms with ensuite bathroom and terrace. All double and triple rooms have two separate bedrooms connected by a door, each one with a double bed or 2 single beds. Therefore, in double rooms, each person sleeps in a different space.
- Healthy vegetarian food, using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients prepared by an experienced chef specialized in healthy nutrition. 3 meals per day.
- Trips to some of the most pure, tranquil and beautiful natural beaches and trekking.
- Private transport from Faro airport to the retreat center, round trip. (Please check the timetable of the private transport in the program section before booking your flight tickets).

Option 1
Triple shared room, with one ensuite bathroom and terrace.

The triple room has two separated bedrooms, one inside the other. Each bedroom has two beds.
The total capacity is four people but you will stay three in total: two people will stay in one bedroom and one person in the other bedroom, and you will share the bathroom.
OPTION 2
Double shared room, with one ensuite bathroom and terrace.

The double room has two separated bedrooms, one inside the other. Each bedroom has one or two beds.
You will stay 2 people in total, each of you in a different bedroom and you will share the bathroom.
OPTION 3
Single room: large double bedroom used as single, with ensuite bathroom and terrace.

You will be alone in the room.
Option 4
Forest House
Independent design house inside the retreat centre with ocean views, built with natural materials. It has 2 bedrooms: one single room and one double room, a living room, a small kitchen, 1 bathroom and a private terrace.
Option 4 - A
Forest House: Double shared room, with shared bathroom.

One place in the retreat, staying in a small double room with twin beds, shared with another person.
The room is located in the Forest House. The bathroom is shared with one person, staying in second room (4B)
This option is only available in double occupancy.
OPTION 4 - B
Forest House: Single room with shared bathroom.

One place in the retreat, staying in a single room with a king bed.
The room is located in the Forest House. The bathroom is shared with 2 people, staying in second room (4A).
Booking and payment policy:
– To book and secure your place, we request a 300 € deposit.
– You can click on the blue button “Book your place” below, fill in your data and pay the deposit online.
– Once the payment of the deposit is made, your place will be reserved (you will receive a confirmation email)
– Balance payment is due before February 15th (3 months and one week before the beginning of the retreat). If you book your place after that date, you will be asked to directly pay the full amount.
– If you are travelling solo, and choose a double room, you will share with a person of the same sex. If once all the places are booked, there wouldn’t be any person to share the room with, you may have the room for your own but you will be asked to pay the supplement for single room.
Cancelation policy:
-All cancellations must be received in writing, by email.
– In case of cancellation on your part, the deposit will not be returned under any circumstance.
– If your cancellation takes place before February 15th, we will refund the total amount you have paid, less the deposit. The deposit won’t be refunded.
– If cancellation takes place after February 15th, there will be no reimbursement. In such circumstance you could hand it over to some other person (friend, relative, colleague…etc)
– At any moment, you could hand your booking over to some other person (friend, relative, colleague…etc), who would like to join the retreat and stay in the same type of bedroom.
– In the unlikely event that the retreat has to be canceled, we will refund the full amount paid in less than 7 working days.
– Your personal expenses, such as flight tickets or any other costs that aren’t paid directly to us, won’t be refunded.
Most travelling insurances cover all your expenses (flight tickets, the payment of the retreat, accommodation costs if you stay before or after the retreat in Portugal, etc), if you have to cancel your trip. They are inexpensive and they could be a good option to insure your trip.
